Time to turn the lights back on...

Hello out there.  This is kinda how I feel I left things after my last post.  So much happened that I don't even know where to begin in order to catch things up.  Suffice it to say that I had a few more runs, another attempt at the Little Rock Half Marathon, where I hurt my ankle, got married and moved to Galveston, Texas.  One of the main reasons for moving down here was to rehab more effectively from my ankle and the associated strain it put on my opposite hip.

However, down here, I had an even worse problem develop with my left leg.  I may post pictures, but they would not be for those with weak stomachs.  The injury and ensuing nightmare took me over 4 years, 2 stays in the hospital, some discussions about whether or not to amputate my leg, a "picc" line running from my right arm to run to my heart for some super-strong antibiotics to be delivered right to my heart (after which I developed some sort of large-scale probably permanent psoriatic skin condition - at least its not something contageous).  Finally, about a year and a half after that experience (def.: an adventure unwanted and undesired), my leg finally healed.

Now it has been two years after I finally healed from that and I find that I have to start the entire journey back to running from the very beginning... Well, almost back to the beginning.  At least this time, I am already walking on my own.  So here I go again.  "I don't know where I am going, but I sure know where I've been."  Who knew that in 1987, Whitesnake would provide me with my very own anthem.  There is no more time to waste.  I've made up my mind and so... Here I go again!
